RITA 2 (Replay Interface for TCAS Alerts) is a tool dedicated to the training of air traffic controllers on TCAS II events. This tool may also be used for pilots training.

RITA 2 allows to replay reported and analysed real TCAS II version 7 events selected for their training interest. It displays on the same screen what the pilot and the controller have seen and what they have said:

• Pilot’s view: display of the TCAS II simulation results on an IVSI (Instantaneous Vertical Speed Indicator) look-alike with the associated TCAS sound alarm;
  
  
• Controller’s view: visual display of all traffic from radar records on a radar screen look-alike, including short term conflict alerts;
  
  
• Communications script: transcribed radio communications between the controller and the pilot into text and display of the dialog in a dedicated text area.
